Donghyouk is a landscape architect, urban designer as well as design director at HLD. He has devoted more than 15 years to build better public/private landscape spaces through enthusiastic design quality controls and proactive communications with wide range of interested groups.
Prior to joining HLD, Donghyouk was a Landscape Design Director at DL E&C (formerly Daelim Industrial Co., Ltd.), conducting landscape scheme and design for two distinctive residential brands, ACRO and e-pyunhansesang.
He also worked at James Corner Field Opertation, internationally-recognized landscape design firm in New York. During this time, he managed multiple projects throughout the world including Avenue of Stars and K11 complex development in Hong Kong, Changi international airport Terminal 5 in Singapore, the High Line park in New York, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, Race Street Pier park in Philadelphia, Square 696 residential in Washington D.C., Millennium Hollywood in Los Angeles, and Seamarq Hotel in Gangneung.
Donghyouk earned Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he was the recipient of the Chair’s Merit Award. He also earned Master of Landscape Architecture degree and Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the Seoul National University where he was awarded Summa Cum Laude. Donghyouk is a licensed landscape architect in Pennsylvania since 2013.

조경가이자 도시 설계가, 그리고 디자인 디렉터로서의 역할을 HLD에서 수행하고 있다. 그는 열성적으로 디자인 품질을 컨트롤하고, 다양한 이해관계 단체와의 커뮤니케이션을 주도하며, 지난 15년 이상을 더 나은 공공/사적 조경 공간을 만들어 내기 위해 노력하고 있다.
HLD 이전에는 디엘 이엔씨(전 대림산업)에서 조경 디자인 디렉터로서, ACRO와 e편한세상 두 개성 있는 주거 브랜드의 조경 기획 및 설계를 총괄하였다. 그는 또한 뉴욕에 위치한 조경 설계회사인 제임스 코너 필드 오퍼레이션스에서 경력을 쌓으며, 스타의 거리 및 K11 복합단지 개발(홍콩), 창이 국제공항 터미널 5(싱가포르), 하이라인 공원(뉴욕), 퀸 엘리자베스 올림픽 공원(런던), 레이스 스트리트 피어 공원(필라델피아), 스퀘어 696 주거 단지 개발(워싱턴 D.C.), 밀레니엄 할리우드 주거 단지 개발(로스 엔젤레스), 씨마크 호텔(강릉) 등의 세계 곳곳에 위치한 명소들의 설계를 책임 있게 수행하였다.
펜실베니아 대학교에서 학과장이 수여하는 메리트 어워드와 조경 석사 학위를 받았으며, 서울대학교에서 조경 석사 학위 및 학사 학위를 받고, 최우수 졸업상Summa Cum Laude을 수상하였다. 2013년부터 펜실베니아 주 등록 조경사 자격증을 소지한 미국 공인 조경가이다.
