Hana believes that creative and vibrant urban spaces are the foundation for a livable city.
Prior to joining HLD, Hana worked on diverse projects such as High Knob HKRI Master Plan, Fort Monroe Development Proposal, and Tyreeanna & Pleasant Valley 2040 Neighborhood Plan. Hana has an extensive educational background, researching on topics such as sense of place in urban plazas, image of the city, and public art in urban spaces. Hana holds a Ph.D. in Architecture and Design Research from Virginia Tech, a MLA from Rhode Island School of Design, and a MLA and a BLA(graduated with Summa Cum Laude) from Kyunghee University.
Hana is an active lecturer, teaching courses on design and drawing to students in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, and Architecture.

창의적이고 매력적인 도시공간은 도시민의 삶의 질과 도시경쟁력 확보의 근간이 된다.
HLD 이전에는 버지니아 공과대학에서 도시 광장의 장소성과 도시이미지에 관한 연구로 박사학위(건축+디자인연구)를 취득하였고, 버지니아에 위치한 조경 설계회사인 힐 스튜디오에서 High Knob HKRI Master plan, Fort Monroe Development Proposal, Tyreeanna & Pleasant Valley 2040 Neighborhood Plan 등의 프로젝트를 수행하였다. 조경 석사 학위를 받은 로드 아일랜드 디자인 스쿨에서는 SHELL-ter를 비롯한 다양한 공공미술 프로젝트에 참가하며 예술가로 활동하기도 하였다. 경희대학교에서 조경 석사 학위 및 학사 학위를 받고, 예술디자인 단과대학 최우수 졸업상(Summa Cum Laude)을 수상하였다.
국내외 여러 학교에 출강하며, <오픈스페이스디자인>, <건축설계기초I>, <드로잉>, <창의적융합디자인> 등 조경, 건축, 도시설계를 포함한 도시공간디자인 영역의 강의를 진행하고 있다.
